    I love when you say:

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that as much as I hated this book, I also kind of enjoyed it. It’s like meeting up with really old friends and seeing how much they’ve changed (mostly for the worse). It’s surreal and uncomfortable, but you get a secret sort of thrill from it all the same. Would I recommend this book? Not really, but I think it’s kind of a must-read for fans (old and new) of Sweet Valley High. Much as I’m loathe to admit it, this is part of the cannon now.

I hate it when I run into people I went to high school with but when I find out they are on their second marriage, have gained 100 lbs I’m thrilled to death. I LOVED reading this book even as bad as it was. It was a hard book for me to review because unless you grew up on the novels and were used to the horribleness you would think I was crazy for saying I enjoyed reading it.

    Thanks for the comment!

I know exactly what you mean about running into people from high school. Even though I really did hate this book (I seriously want to declare it anathema), I also kind of enjoyed it. I mean, how could I not, when these books shaped so much of my childhood?
