I am not sure if I linked my eighteenth review here. Room by Emma Donaghue was a tremendous book, and I highly recommend it. I don’t usually go for books where a child is in harm’s way, but this was surprisingly wonderful.
I just finished my nineteenth review, that of The Unnamed, by Joshua Ferris. The protagonist of this novel has an affliction that disrupts and affects his entire family. His affliction? Walking. Yes, walking. Tim Farnsworth sporadically feels the compulsion to abandon everything and start walking, anywhere and everywhere. The tale of how he and his family deal with this condition that doctors cannot pinpoint is a well written story that I also highly recommend.
