Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

A very interesting book with a different style than the norm.  Loved the use of all the creepy found photographs!

  1. I’m fairly certain there is a sequel in the works. I really enjoyed the photos used in the book, they really are very creepy, but I felt like the story didn’t always live up to its potential. It was definitely interesting but I felt like there could have been more.

I very much agree. There were times where I was like “hey, this is really getting somewhere” and then it would lose focus. If I’m not mistaken (aka I don’t feel like taking 10 seconds to look it up) this is his first novel. Which would explain why it’s a little uneven. I’m hoping if there is a sequel that the lessons learned from this one would be applied so it could be a little more cohesive.
